I’ve always associated Banana Republic exclusively with clothing and accessories but recently I had the opportunity to explore some fragrances from their new Collezione Riservata collection, thanks to So-Avant-Garde. I’ll share my thoughts about them starting with Orris Vanille. As we embrace the start of fall, Banana Republic Orris Vanille is an exquisite, cozy scent that fits perfectly with the season.

Encased in a sleek black bottle, Banana Republic Orris Vanille is a captivating fragrance that beautifully blends creamy vanilla with powdery orris, exuding modern sophistication.

Banana Republic Orris Vanille opens with a vibrant burst of Bergamot, lemon pepper and juniper , drawing you in with its freshness. At its heart lies a luxurious blend of incense, orris and apple blossom, transporting you into a realm of refined elegance. The smoky resinous tones of incense weave seamlessly with the delicate sweetness of apple blossom , creating a truly enchanting experience.

Once the fragrance settles, it evolves into a delightful mix of warm amber wood, rich vanilla, and velvety sandalwood, crafting a memorable signature that lingers beautifully.

Banana Republic Orris Vanilla is among the fragrances that settles quickly. It reaches its dry down within 20-30 minutes of application. The initial strength lasts for about an hour before transforming into a beautiful skin scent for up to five hours.

The dry down is particularly lovely with vanilla and orris taking center stage. While it’s undeniably a beautiful, cozy scent, the longevity could use some improvement.

To my nose, Banana Republic Orris Vanille strikes a perfect balance as a unisex fragrance. While it’s ideal for fall and winter, but can be easily worn during spring as well. Its delicate soft profile makes it an excellent choice for the day time as well as for a date night. This scent isn’t loud or overpowering, a quality that I personally appreciate.
