On this Father’s Day, let’s celebrate the men in our lives with something as special as they are. Armani Beauty has just launched the perfect fragrance for the occasion. Meet Giorgio Armani Acqua Di Gio Elixir, the newest and most powerful addition to the brand’s iconic Acqua Di Gio fragrance collection for men.
Acqua di Gio is an aromatic, woody fragrance that opens with a refreshing burst of bergamot and a hint of nutmeg leading into the heart notes of aquatic accord and aromatic violet leaf finally settling into a warm grounding base of patchouli and smooth leather, Creating a scent that is both fresh and deeply masculine.

Unlike many other fragrances for men that can pass as unisex scents, this elixir smells purely masculine to my nose. That said, I did try it on my own skin on a stay home day to take notes for this blog post. I find it to be a beautiful balance of aquatic freshness and leathery depth. The spicy notes stand out, while the florals stay quietly in the background, binding the composition without ever taking centre stage.
As we expect from an elixir, projection and longevity are outstanding. Acqua di Gio Elixir is a very smooth, crowd pleasing fragrance that many people suggest is quite similar to Dior Fahrenheit. I haven’t had the chance to try Fahrenheit myself, so I can’t give a direct comparison but after looking at the notes, I can see where they’re coming from. The compositions aren’t identical, but there are similarities, so that is something to keep in mind if you are planning to blind buy.
