Vilhelm Parfumerie Sun Cities Eau de Parfum
Meet Vilhelm Parfumerie Sun Cities Eau de Parfumerie, A fruity-spicy fragrance which is part of brand’s Triptych collection. Before we talk about Sun Cities in more detail, let me tell you a little bit about the collection.
Triptych Collection features three fragrances inspired by the legendary life of Hannibal of Carthage. Each scent is built on a rich, luxurious base of powdery leather, designed to evoke power and poise. At the heart? A stunning imperial osmanthus, soft yet commanding, paired with velvety immortelle, grounded by the earthy depth of patchouli and oakmoss.

Developed by Jerome Epinette, the original perfumer for the brand, all three fragrances share the same DNA and the differentiating factor of each is one distinct accent note.
- Sun Cities : Accent note is Pineapple
- Great Lord : Accent note is Plum
- Chimilka : Accent note is Peach
With the exception of their distinct accent notes, the core composition of the three fragrances is exactly the same

When Twisted Lily offered to send me a fragrance from this collection to try, I chose Sun Cities. I’ve experienced scents with plum and peach notes before, but I don’t think I’ve ever had a fragrance in my collection that features pineapple so I was really curious to see how it would play out.

Sun Cities
It has a fresh and sweet tropical opening courtesy to the juicy pineapple. It is inspired by the bright energy of coastal cities rich with history, passion and ambition. More than an escape, it offers a moment to recharge and reconnect. It awakens the senses and sparks a vision of bold dreams and limitless potential.
KEY NOTES
Top Notes: Juicy Pineapple, Italian Mandarin, Cardamom from Sri Lanka
Heart Notes: Dark Leather, Violet, Greek Saffron, Oakmoss, Corsican Immortelle, Chinese Osmanthus
Base Notes: Indonesian Patchouli, Amber, Pink Sugar, Musk
It opens with a juicy, tropical burst of pineapple. Bright, playful, and immediately captivating, balanced by a subtle hint of cardamom. From the start, leather and patchouli quietly emerge, growing richer and more defined as the fragrance develops. In contrast to the vibrant opening, the dry down has a soft warmth with a slightly powdery finish.

Sun Cities delivers impressive performance, with excellent projection and longevity—it remained noticeable on my skin all day. While the opening is vivid and summery, the soft, powdery warmth in the dry down makes it suitable for Spring and fall as well.
All three fragrances in Triptych collection are unisex. Instead of traditional Vilhelm perfuemrie puff style round bottles, this collection features a beautifully remodernized bottle design.
