With the rising popularity of the quiet luxury makeup trend, there has been a noticeable shift towards cream and liquid products. YSL Beauty is right on trend with its newest makeup release ” YSL Make Me Blush Liquid Blush “
This next-generation liquid blush is a highly pigmented, creamy formula that transforms from liquid to powder. It’s bendable, buildable, and melts into the skin, providing a blurring, soft cloud finish.
YSL Make Me Blush Liquid Blush features six versatile shades, providing tailored blush options that suit every skin tone. YSL Beauty graciously sent me these blushes to try. The Six shades of YSL Make Me Blush Liquid Blush are
- 37 Peachy Nude – Warm Pink Nude
- 44 Nude Lavalliere – Iconic Dusty Mauve Pink
- 54 Berry Bang – Deep Red Berry
- 57 Coral Crush – Light Peachy Coral
- 66 Fuchsia Fling – Bright Pop of Pink
- 69 Lavender Lust – Soft Lavender
The slightly wider diamond-shaped applicator tip makes it super easy to apply the blush right onto our skin, so we can create all sorts of customized looks. The liquid-to-powder formula is really lightweight and has a nice medium consistencyโnot thick like a cream but not too watery either. Blending is a breeze, you can use your fingers, a brush, or a wet sponge, depending on the look youโre going for.
The packaging perfectly reflects the signature YSL luxe aesthetic. The rectangular clear bottles with black caps and the gold YSL logo beautifully showcase the blush shades. Check out this video to fully appreciate the beauty of these luxurious liquid blushes!
Here are the swatches of the blushes. Instead of numbering order, I decided to swatch them from the lightest to the deepest shade, which I thought would be more helpful for you in finding the best match for your skin tone or preferred looks. On my medium complexion, Lavender Lust was the only shade that struggled to show up, while Coral Clash needed a bit of building to reveal its full beauty. On the other hand, Fuchsia Fling and Berry Blend are incredibly pigmented, so a single dot on each cheek is all you need for a lovely flush!
Although the YSL Make Me Blush liquid blush has a liquid-to-powder formula, the finish is neither powdery dry nor overly wet, It achieves a beautiful satin finish. The staying power is impressive, with the color lasting on me anywhere from 6 to 12 hours, depending on whether I used lighter or darker shades. I typically donโt set the blush separately with powder, but since I have oily skin, I do apply a light dusting of finishing powder all over my face as the final step before my setting spray.
