Today’s fragrance review is for Jo Malone Peony & Blush Suede. JO Malone London is one of my favourite niche fragrance houses and the one that occupies most space on my fragrance shelf. The life story of the founder and how she created her brand from ground up is inspiring.
Seeing her sell the fragrance house, fighting cancer and then coming back and starting all over again with a new brand Jo Loves was all so real and surreal. I haven’t had the pleasure to try anything from Jo Loves but Jo Malone colognes have a special spot in my collection.
The newest addition for me is Jo Malone Peony & Blush Suede that I purchased a while ago. I don’t wear it as frequently as my other JoMalone colognes but when I do, it leaves a lasting impression and reminds me why I picked it at the first place.
It is a flirtatious and opulent floral scent with an unexpected twist and texture. A harmonious blend of Voluptuous peonies with the jasmine, rose and gillyflower, combined with the juicy bite of red apple, mingled with sensuality of soft, blush suede. This is a very luxurious and seductive, slightly warm scent. For me it is a romantic date night fragrance that easily lasts about 5-6 hours. To be honest since I mostly wear it on night outs so I haven’t tested it for longer periods of time.
Key Notes
Top Note: Red Apple
Heart Note: Peony
Base Note: Suede
Just like other Jo Malone fragrances, Peony & Blush Suede is a unisex scent but to my nose it leans noticeably feminine
It is clearly floral but not overly sweet. I can detect the notes of suede on my skin within a few minutes of application that makes this cologne stand separate from the traditional fruity floral scents. I think you may enjoy watching the unboxing video from my instagram
